Demand for Europe’s tech talent drive growth for UK companies

There has been a growing demand for tech talent for blue chip companies turning to certain European tech hubs. The article focuses on how this appetite has contributed to significant growth for one UK company.

Booming demand for digital talent saw multinational companies increasingly look to mainland Europe for people and process support over the past year. UK companies providing talent and technology services have been able to benefit from this demand.

UK professional services firm Gibbs Hybrid achieved a 23 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching a total of £73 million. This exceeds the Staffing Industry Analyst growth prediction for the industry.

Gibbs Hybrid attributes these industry-busting figures to strong demand for their services in Europe. The company launched new offices in Dublin & Poland in 2017 and will launch their Luxemburg operations at the end of Q1 2018.

Gibbs Hybrid’s decision to open up operations in these regions is part of its strategy to become an extension of client operations by delivering talent analytics & optimisation, programme technology solutions and process outsourcing services.

Blue chip companies are looking for a single-source supplier to inject digital into every aspect of their business. Gibbs Hybrid’s unique hybrid business model, which combines talent, programme and technology solutions with project consultancy, has been a driving force for its success as net profit grew by 21 per cent.

Farida Gibbs, CEO and founder of Gibbs Hybrid, comments, ‘Last year we saw significant growth for Gibbs Hybrid as clients came to grips with changing industry landscapes framed by political and business conditions. Conversations with both existing and prospect clients has steered our expansion in Europe.

‘For Gibbs Hybrid there were real business opportunities in Dublin, Poland, and Luxembourg from global blue chip brands looking for alternative locations to the UK, and this has paved the way for our expansion. We believe in supporting our clients every step of the way, and even in the age of remote working, there is still value in nurturing relationships through in-person services. On-the-ground teams have the agility and flexibility to pivot to our clients’ changing business strategies.

‘Gibbs Hybrid supports businesses in tackling the issues holding back technology transformation. Using a single-source supplier for all their technology needs – from talent and skill to programme solutions and consultancy – eliminates the challenges of working with multiple vendors. Our vision is to be an extension of the client’s business to help them integrate digital into the heart of their business strategy end-to-end.’
