How does your service work?
We offer consumer and media brands a customised mobile search channel that provides listings relevant to their target audiences.
Where did you get the idea?
I was standing outside a pub with a group of friends, it had closed and I was thinking ‘we’re not ready to go home yet.’ I went on to develop an answer to that question into a company that would provide search solutions.
Where did you get the funding?
From six private individuals who were friends and family. The total amount came to about £500,000, which I’m confident should see us through the first year.
How did you market the company?
We’ve done a lot of bashing down doors. If you’re not a famous company like Microsoft it’s hard to get through to people. By doing the legwork and going for the ‘lowest hanging fruit’ we managed to secure our first client.
Where do you want the company to go?
I want to be in a position where an entire spectrum of clients are using our product. I also want to develop it as a tourist product in time for the Olympics.
