Here, we announce the shortlist for Accounts and Tax Adviser of the Year, which will recognise the firm key to providing SMEs with an exceptional accountancy service.

Our latest shortlist announcement is the Accounts and Tax Adviser of the Year category.

This award acknowledges the accountancy/tax advisory firm that has gone the furthest to target and help smaller companies, with quality of client service, value for money and SME-focused initiatives being prime considerations.

Managing accounts is often the last thing a business owner wants to do with their time. When your success depends on such activities as product development, marketing, and building industry relationships, crunching numbers and dealing with tax can too easily be pushed to the bottom of the priority list.

However, managing your accounts effectively is absolutely critical, so it’s good to know that there are accountancy firms that have smaller businesses in mind, firms that understand the struggles of building a company and with the capacity to relieve you of accounts and tax stresses, leaving you free to run your company. The shortlisted candidates in our Accounts and Tax Adviser of the Year category have all proven their expertise in targeting the SME sector and will be judged on their proficiency in serving small businesses.

The British Small Business Awards, taking place on November 1 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, is the leading celebration of the UK’s small business sector, recognising the nation’s best sole traders, micro businesses and small companies – as well as the service providers, financiers and advisers that support them.
