The first woman ever to lead one of Britain’s 4 biggest banks was appointed in the latter half of 2019 (Markets Insider, 2019). Move to venture capital, we see women account for less than 10% of fund partners in the UK (International Banker, 2019). The representation for women in fintech in the UK is promising at 42%, but this drops to less than 30% for investment banking (Financial News, 2019).
