New product helps businesses launch an online store in 30 days

From the SuiteWorld annual show in Las Vegas, SmallBusiness.co.uk looks at the new SuiteCommerce product, which aims to facilitate the process of launching an online business.

Oracle NetSuite has announced a new e-commerce product with the intention of empowering businesses to quickly and efficiently deliver engaging online experiences.

The latest release of SuiteCommerce aims to enable businesses to launch a sophisticated online store within 30 days and looks to afford small companies the freedom to grow and evolve to meet changing needs.

Features include a rapid site implementation enabling faster time to value, increased business efficiency and greater customer satisfaction, drag-and-drop site management tools allowing non-technical users to edit pages and manage content, and the ability for business users to quickly and easily expand the capabilities of their stores with extensions.

The service supports B2C and B2B e-commerce on the same platform, and seeks to provide branded, relevant shopping experiences that drive online engagement and conversion. To help businesses further increase engagement, a selection of themes optimised for performance, engagement and conversion are available, NetSuite says.

Help for less technical users

A benefit for non technical users could be the drag-and-drop site management tools which allow less IT-savvy business owners to edit pages and manage content. Users are also given the ability to update the look and feel of their site without the help of a developer.

NetSuite also says that business users can quickly and easily expand the capabilities of their stores with extensions. Extensions are designed to upgrade seamlessly with each release, allowing customers to enhance their site in a way that’s maintainable.

Jim McGeever, executive vice president of Oracle Netsuite, says that the system puts an end to ‘long, costly implementations and allows customers to get the most they can from their commerce investment’.

‘From day one, businesses get a single, unified solution that supports their entire business,’ he adds.
