Gary Neville

The first addition to the Den is footballing giant and property powerhouse, Gary Neville.

He played for Manchester United as a defender and captained the team after Roy Keane’s departure in 2015. Since then, he’s coached the England side and became a pundit on Sky Sports. He is England’s most capped player, chocking up 85 caps before he retired in 2007.

One of football’s renowned ‘Class of 92’, Neville has amassed a net worth of almost £20m since he hung up his boots.

He launched Relentless in 2015, focusing on supporting ventures in and around the Manchester area. From there, he went on to develop Relentless Developments. In a natural progression, he became director of Zerum, a property and construction consultancy business. His pundit career spurred him on to co-found production company, Buzz 16, the bods behind The Overlap and Soccerbox. He’s since sold his controlling stake for around £200m.

Alongside fellow Class of 92 alum, Ryan Giggs, Neville runs GG Hospitality which covers Hotel Football, Stock Exchange Hotel and Café Football. Taking some more inspiration from his career, Neville founded University Academy 92. The Manchester-based higher education institution teaches non-traditional subjects that focus on promoting character development and resilience. You’ll find courses in media, sport, digital and business spaces.

Neville said: “I am excited to join the Dragons, and to meet the entrepreneurs brave enough to face us in the Den.

“I hope my personal journey shows that you can take the experiences you’ve had in one part of your career and use them to do something entirely different and make it a success.”
