Pre-Dragons’ Den, Jenny Campbell was a well-respected figure in banking – one of the few women in a senior banking role at the time. She took and turned around YourCash (owned by RBS) in 2006 and later bought out the business from the banking giant.
She wasn’t known for her investments but has had a small handful of successful ones, such as Look After My Bills, Carun and Didsbury Gin. On Look After My Bills, Jenny said it was ‘the longest negotiation, with the biggest valuation and the smallest equity in the history of the show’.
After two series, Jenny left to devote more time to the Princes Trust Enterprise Fellowship Programme. She also wanted to help her sons with their businesses – one of them owns the restaurant chain, Kricket, and the other runs Russon Campbell Developments.
She is also a director of the board for Woman of the Year and board director of the UK Kennel Club which focuses on dog shows, dog agility and working trials.
Like many other Dragons, Jenny is a motivational speaker at conferences and private events.
